Disk 02 / Target 10 / End of disc practice series (4 of 5)
Hi all, Disk 02 / Target 10 / End of disc practice series (4 of 5)
This is a session based on this new cue I created... [6818/5920] Trevor Parr's most recent tattoo design
Sometimes I feel mentally hemmed in by the word descriptor list. Should I be moving further away from it?
Here is my session based on the above TRN...
Here is the target tattoo...

Your format and structure look good. I am surprised that I don't see any AOLs about tattoos, tattoo guns or ink. Then again in this case, that subject matter is one, giant AOL from the get-go and is unavoidable to a degree. Remind me to revisit this topic with you when you finish the course. Your AOL declaration looks fine for this type of front loaded session, for where you're at with your skill level.
When you become an experienced viewer you will definitely want to perform a Stage 6 sketch for a target like this. You will be able to make a detailed drawing of the tattoo. Lots of stage 6 practice/experience will come in handy for these types of targets whether it's a tattoo, uniform insignia, flag symbol, etc.
Get back to blind training targets, primarily, for now. You'll be into front loaded targets soon enough on the DVDs. And you can use other descriptors not on the word list in S2 as long as they are general and not high level. High level sensory percepts belong in S4 and above. In S2, you can't put water in the smells category for instance. Moist or humid is acceptable. Try to stick with the provided dimensions list.

Thanks a bunch, I will follow your lead on this. I suppose bstuart's beginners targets (which I have been using) would be a good blind target list to continue with. ~Nathan
