I am on DVD1 target 2, when doing Analytical Sketch, it says that (as i undestand), all shapes should join together so that it should be some object.

1. is it necessary to join all shapes? if i seperate 1 and join 3 is it ok?

2. is it any right way to join? for example if i put circle up and square down or i put square up and circle down... is there any method or it is up to me how i join?

3. Is it necessary that what i make in Analytical Sketch it should be a picture of something?

4. in sample shown in DVD, the boy "label" all dimensions in Analytical Sketch, is it necessary?

Welcome to the forum, munir26. Here are some answers to your questions.

1. Maybe yes. Maybe no. And vice versa.

2. There is a right way for all the dimensions lines to fit together. Nobody knows what that is. Do your best to put each line where you think it should go (it's called an Analytical Sketch for a reason) as well as "feeling" where each line representing each dimension goes in the sketch. You will improve with practice.

3. In a good session the analytical sketch will definitely be a schematic representation of some key aspect of the target, not necessarily "a picture of something". It may be best if you do not even recognize it for what it is until after you finish the session.

4. In the sample shown on the DVD, lines in the sketch were probably labeled as an aid to show how the dimension words were converted to lines in the sketch. It is not only unnecessary but undesireable to label the lines in an actual session. The goal is to represent the dimension word so well with a line that no label is necessary.

I hope that helped. As beginners, everyone struggles with this. Everyone improves with practice. Hang in there. You will be amazed.
